CHEMSEA holds session at 2013 PRIMO Conference


At the recent PRIMO (Pollutant Responses in Marine Organisms) Conference in Faro, Portugal a special session was dedicated to the 'Detection and Monitoring of Biological Effects of Deliberately Dumped Chemicals at Sea' (abstract), chaired by CHEMSEA's Matthias Brenner from AWI and Janina Baršiene from Lithuania's Institute of Ecology of Nature Research Centre.

CHEMSEA partners on German TV documentary


German television channel ZDF has produced a documentary about munitions left behind from WWII. The work of vTI and AWI on board the vessel Walter Herrwig is featured in the production, including interviews to Thomas Lang and Matthias Brenner (minutes 23:30 to 25:30).

CWA awareness trainings for Polish fishermen continue


The Polish Naval Academy is continuing a series of awareness trainings for fishermen. The most recent training took place on March 22nd in Hel and was attended by over 40 fishermen associated with The Pomeranian Fishermen Association. The training was also attended by four members of the Council of The Pomeranian Fishermen Association.
