In similar fashion to the previous such event held in Lithuania, on January 10, 2014 CHEMSEA hosted another Awareness Training Day in Helsinki, on board the R/V Aranda. The event was hosted by SYKE and VERIFIN.
The CHEMSEA project is nearing its end! Please mark your calendars: on February 13th 2014, beginning at 9:00, CHEMSEA will organise a final Open Day event in Warsaw during which it will present and discuss its final results. The event will be hosted by the Military University of Technology.
The project “Towards the Monitoring of Dumped Munitions Threat” (MODUM) has been approved for financing by the NATO Science for Peace and Security (SPS). This international project will investigate the possibility of using Autonomous and Remotely Operated Underwater Vehicles (AUV and ROV) for the creation of a monitoring network for the dumpsites of chemical warfare materials in the Baltic Sea. It will cooperate closely with the CHEMSEA project in data and sharing and knowledge transfer.
