CHEMSEA Cruise to the Gotland munitions dumpsite

On the 26th of April, CHEMSEA partners are setting off on a 3 day cruise to the Lithuanian part of the Gotland chemical munitions dumpsite.

The cruise will take place aboard the research vessel Vejunas. The team will scan a part of the area using the side scan sonar and take some near bottom water and sediment samples. They will also measure hydrological and meteorological parameters at every station. They plan to visit 9 stations inside the Gotland chemical munitions dumpsite area.
